You’ve reached the dig limit
You’ve dug as many squares as you can on this map. Any digs left in your wallet still work on other open treasure maps.
How the treasure hunt works
-
Get some digs. Digs are a wallet you top up once and can spend on any open treasure map, not just this one. They never expire, so unused digs are always there for next time.
-
Dig a square. One dig uncovers one square on the map. Tap a buried spot and we reveal what’s underneath, live.
-
Find buried treasure. The prizes are hidden across the map before it opens: some squares hold a prize, some hold bonus free digs, and many hold nothing, so every dig is a fresh chance.
-
Wins are instant. A prize is credited or set aside for you the moment you dig it up, with no end draw to wait for.
You can dig up to 100 squares on this map. Digs you can’t use here still work on other treasure maps.
Free entry, no purchase necessary
Free postal routeYou never have to pay to take part. A free postal entry credits you one dig, exactly like a paid one: it goes to your wallet, works on any open treasure map, never expires, and you place it yourself with exactly the same chance of finding treasure as a paid dig. Name a square on your entry and we’ll dig that one for you if it’s still free. Each valid postcard or letter counts as one free dig.
-
On a postcard or sheet of paper, write your full name, your address, a contact telephone number, the email address registered to your Win A Bundle account, and that you’d like a free dig on “Cash Hunt on Chimp Island”.
-
You must be 18 or over and have a registered account so we can allocate your free entry and contact you if you win.
-
Post it to reach us before the treasure map closes. Each postcard or letter counts as one entry - you can send as many separate entries as you like, but several in a single envelope still count as one.

How the draw works
Automated drawWhen entries close, the winner is selected automatically by a cryptographically secure random number generator. The result can't be predicted or influenced, the winning ticket is logged, and the winner is emailed straight away.
This draw is independently verifiable. Before entries close we publish a commitment (a fingerprint of a secret random value). After entries close, the winner is drawn from that value together with a public randomness beacon (drand), and we reveal both - so anyone can re-run the maths and check the winning ticket for themselves. Commitment: ea247bba67b3190ae5f23545365ac2ec45f37dc7b973418ea937a329d36f04a6.
Winning is instant: prizes are buried under specific squares, fixed and fingerprinted before the map opened, then kept hidden. You choose which square to dig, but because the map is sealed there is no way to tell which squares hold treasure - so a winning square can't be found or targeted, by you or anyone else. Dig a square, and if there's a prize under it you win on the spot and we email you right away.
The prize map is locked: here's the fingerprint
Which square carries which prize was fixed when the map opened, before any square was dug, and kept hidden while it can still be played. We took a fingerprint of it then (a SHA-256 code that changes completely if anything is altered), mixed with a secret salt, so you can confirm later that the prizes were never moved. The full map and the salt are published once the map closes. Fingerprint: b1ebc7153103fe209633f5152c11bf6fffbe7defe4a14190463fa2e7079903d4
Every entry is timestamped and independently verifiable, and winners are published on our Winners page. Read how our draws, technology and security work.
